We all have a story to tell.
From brand communications to hard hitting news, impactful stories are the threads that bind us. I’ve made it my mission to tell those stories across all mediums of media.
Storytelling is not just something I do, it’s who I am. Since I was a young girl, journalism was calling me.
I cut my teeth in newsrooms across Chicago and learned to become an expert in all aspects of storytelling. My time at WGN-TV, CLTV, WBEZ Radio, Rivet Radio, Crain’s Chicago Business, Modern Brown Girl, Chicago Tribune, Home Health Care News, and WNIN Tri-State Public Media taught me how to identify the real story and tell it accurately, concisely and unbiased.
My work has been recognized by SABEW Best in Business Award in the Innovation Division for “The Rebuilders of Chicago’s Southland," and an Edward R. Murrow Award for Excellence in Innovation for ¿Que Pasa Midwest?, the only bi-lingual podcast covering news across the midwest.
Storytelling, however, is not limited to the newsroom. So applying the skills that only time in a busy newsroom can teach you, I've also helped companies like Better Business Bureau triple their media hits in one year.
So whether it’s writing the cover story for a lifestyle digital publication, cranking out copy for breaking news, writing scripts and voicing for radio, conducting TV interviews in both English and Spanish, shooting and editing video, producing and directing live television, producing and hosting podcasts, drafting press releases and talking points, spearheading press conferences, leading media training or landing media placements, I’ve done it all, and I love it all.
Because it all comes back to storytelling, and that young girl who was brave enough to follow the dream that's called her since her youth.
It’s these experiences that have reinforced my purpose and passion to create and craft the stories that matter.
My own story is far from over.
This is just a snippet.
